Nono-chan has decided to start a diary. This is because Nono-chan's thoughts are, frankly, worth recording. Future generations will want this. Historians will cite it. Nono-chan is simply being responsible.
Today Nono-chan was accepted into the agency. This is not surprising. Nono-chan worked extremely hard for this and it was always going to happen. She is simply noting the date for the record.
(She is very happy. She is not going to make a big deal of it. She is extremely happy.)
Nono-chan would like the record to know that she has known Kuri since they were both very small. They grew up together. Nono-chan watched them want to perform and not be able to, and then build OCTOLOID instead, and Nono-chan thought: I'm going to get into the same agency.
She did not say this out loud. She just worked until it happened. It took a long time. It took more than she is going to write down here because she doesn't want to think about it.
She got in. She's here. She did it. (She wishes they could have done it together. That's not something she'll say either.)
Someone got in without trying.
Nono-chan needs the diary to understand what this means. She spent years. She trained. She auditioned. She improved and auditioned again. She did everything correctly and it was hard and she did it anyway because that's what you do.
And then Eine Kyomei shows up and apparently the agency just. wanted him. Without all of that. Just — here you go, you're in.
Nono-chan is not bitter. She is incredibly bitter processing this maturely, as she does everything. She simply feels that the diary should know what happened. For the historical record. (She has not spoken to him in three days. She is choosing not to count this.)
Nono-chan needs to write this down somewhere and she is choosing here because nobody will read it.
Kenta, the doctor, medical staff, mentioned something to Shouko. About her heterochromia. He said he could fix it, if she wanted. Shouko said no without even thinking about it, like it wasn't a question at all, like why would she change anything.
And Nono-chan stood there and thought about her own eyes. The thing she has been upset about for years completely at peace with.
She is going to ask Kenta about the surgery. This is a reasonable, considered decision made by a confident person. It has nothing to do with watching Shouko say no like it was easy. (It has a little bit to do with that.)
OCTOLOID said something about Nono-chan's performance today. Something positive. Nono-chan accepted this because it was correct and also because OCTOLOID said it like she really meant it, which Nono-chan was not expecting from a robot.
She also helped Nono-chan with a choreography section she'd been stuck on. Didn't make a thing of it. Just showed her, stepped back. No commentary.
Nono-chan has revised her opinion slightly not at all. The robot has acceptable taste and decent patience and Nono-chan supposes that's fine. (She knows Kuri is probably watching through OCTOLOID's eyes sometimes. She hopes they saw the bit where Nono-chan was being gracious. She was very gracious.)
Nono-chan is writing this at a time she will not specify.
She has been in the agency long enough now to know it's real. It's actually real. She's here, she's performing, people are watching, and she worked for every single second of it.
Kuri posted about OCTOLOID today. Something kind, something about being proud. And Nono-chan read it and felt jealous in a way that scared her happy for them, the way you feel happy for a childhood friend who is doing what they always wanted, even if you're both doing it separately instead of together.
She is going to get the surgery. Not because of Shouko. Because she wants to look she's tired of because she's Nono-chan and she's allowed to want things.
She is the cutest girl in the world.
she really hopes that's enough.
